Centric Systems install wireless network for the London Continental Hotel

Maidenhead, U.K. – February 27, 2009 – There’s snow place like home.
The month of February may have been somewhat of a disaster for businesses all over the UK due to the adverse weather conditions and vast amounts of snow fall, leaving many people unable to get into work and businesses paralysed.
Less than one in ten (8 per cent) of the UK’s businesses trust their employees to work out of the office - 42% of workers who are confident that they could do a better job remotely, shows new independent research conducted by YouGov.
John Wright, National Chairman, Federation of Small Businesses, said “This boils down to a matter of trust. In the current climate, small firms need to be operating at full stretch. Last week’s bad weather demonstrated the need for British businesses to enable their employees to be productive, wherever they are.”
There is a variety of cost effective solutions available to SME’s to enable their workforce to work remotely and productively. The recent situation just highlights the need for such solutions which can help a small business operate and grow without necessarily being stuck at a desk.
